Journal Entry #4

How is a clock like the bubonic plague?

A clock is very much like the bubonic plague. A clock and the bubonic plague both are very quiet when striking; they both strike very second of the day, everyday. Very much like a clock, the bubonic plague seemed to be on the back on everyone’s mind. The black plague creeps up on the people who aren’t aware, just like the passing of time on one’s clock. Once the virus is in your body there is no going back in time, from there you only have a matter of hours before dying. Watching a clock pass is like watching one’s life about to end, the people in the infected area knew that they were going to die and it was just a matter of time before the black plague catches up to them.
